About Todowing

Todowing is a Chrome extension for the Todoist web app. Todoist shows sub-tasks flat in Today, Upcoming, Filter, Label and board views. Todowing shows them nested under their parent, so you see the whole task tree where you plan your day. Only the display changes.

The free version includes nested sub-tasks in every view, completing and reopening sub-tasks from the list, due date, priority and labels on each sub-task row, a hide-done option that keeps a finished parent visible while it has open work under it, seven color palettes, and a text-size slider from 85% to 200%. It shows up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task and needs no account.

The lifetime unlock removes that limit and adds sub-task add, rename and reorder, filing one task under a parent in another project without moving it, focus sessions with a countdown timer shared across tabs, time estimates with totals, a three-line notes pad above Today, about fifty Google Fonts, and read-only Apple Calendar events on Today.

Your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks do not pass through Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.

Todowing works on any Todoist plan, including free. It runs in Chrome on the Todoist web app, not the desktop app. It is unofficial and has no affiliation with Doist. Pricing is free, or $19.99 one time (launch price) with no subscription and a 14-day refund window.
